Work clothes

Speaking of the Gap, is it just me or do they actually have some cute stuff
lately? I really like this whole outfit especially the swingy heather gray
jacket. Swoon. I'm actually in the market for some nice work clothes. While
my closet seems to be bursting at the seams, never actually having had a
"real" job before seems to mean I don't have all that many work appropriate
items. I guess that means more shopping! I'll just have to suffer through it. ;)

And these shoes, sigh, bows when will I outgrow them? Methinks never!

Colette x Gap

The Colette by Gap collaboration pictures are finally up. Now
this, this I must definitely have (Jersey bow bag by Alexis
Mabille). The collection opens Sept 6 at 54th & 5th Ave. I will
be there. Will you?

NYC!

We've arrived in New York and are slowly settling in. Things
are pretty busy with new jobs and all, but posts should be more
frequentfrom here on out. I am in love! In love with New York
City! The energy, the people (outfit watching is fast becoming
my favorite hobby), the food, everything!

On Thursday we attended an art show at the Agora Gallery in
Chelsea. One of my husband's childhood friends and her sister
have combined their artistic talents to create mixed media
works merging metal and painting that are absolutely stunning.
A few of their pieces have been included in the 2008 Chelsea
Fine Art Competition showing until July 2008.

Yesterday we attended Warm-Up at PS1, a former elementary
school turned modern art museum. Warm-Up, a fun blend of
outdoor concert, art installation and hot spot, was a lot of fun. I
saw a plethora of gladiator sandles, mini dresses, hipster t's,
and scarves among other things.

My brother-in-law was wearing this cool Octopus T and
someone actually offered to buy it off his back. They sure take
fashion seriously out here. ;)

New Dress

This was my first clothing purchase of the trip (besides a few park themed t-shirts
from Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks). I got this grecian style dress by
MM Couture from a cute little jewelry and clothing boutique called Miss Zula's
located in Boseman Montana. Here's me modeling my aquisition with some gladiator
sandals at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.

They wrapped it up for me in this cute pink bag.
