TopShop Shopping

Work has been insane, but I did manage to pop out for a few hours of
shopping with a friend in from out of town on Saturday. I picked up
this amazing alligator dress from the Christopher Kane for TopShop
collection, and an awesome cage skirt thing that doesn't seem to be on
their website, but looks a lot like the cagie skirts Susie Bubble has been
sporting for some time now. Susie Bubble style stalking I will go. They
also had some fabulous bunny ears a la Louis Vuitton, but I totes forgot
to pick them up on my way out. Oh well, happy hippity hoppeting next
time. :)

Bliss Lau Replacement?

Hmmm a more affordable alternative to the Bliss Lau body chain jewelry I've been drooling over for ages? Free People Rodeo Chain Necklace on left ($50), Bliss Lau Torrent on right ($275-$355). Probably doesn't look nearly as nice in person, but a significant discount might make it the more feasible option.

This one's also a bit reminiscent of the iheartnorwegianwood fringe necklaces and on sale for only $10!

Wing these over to me!

I have always been a fan of wingtips, but these painted
canvas wingtip sneakers just bowl me over! Ivory and
black wingtips from Academy for Wayward Girls.

What the?!?

What?!?! Where did the spikes (and most of the chains) go? Why did
they make them so... boring? The new Christian Siriano collab for
Payless, such a disappointment.

Awhile back someone contacted me about using one of our photographs for some
sort of exhibit related to PS1 Warmup, a summer installation and series of fun
outdoor parties. PS1 is an old school turned into an offshoot of New York's MOMA
in Long Island City. Turns out it was for a retrospective on their young architects
program that sponsors the Warmup events every year. We were there yesterday for
the last event of the summer and spotted our photograph on the wall. Crazyness!
Our original pic from last year's "modern farm" installation is on the right.

Get your skirt on

Quite liking these statement skirts from Shopbop. I might be tempted
to get the bustle one if they had it in a medium and the Loeffler Randall
is just begging to be a quick DIY project... Lastly this cage skirt from
Alexander Wang might be a bit much for the office, but it's a lot of fun.
