Gaetanne Lavoie

As I write this I am sitting in one of my favorite cafes in
San Francisco, the Gallery Cafe -- great food and free
internet located right across the street from the cable
car museum where they run the long spools of cable that
pull all of the cable cars in the city. On the walls are a
series of paintings depicting shoes. Perfect! Turns out they
are by a local artist and student, Gaetanne Lavoie.

Tall Brown Boots

I've been looking for a replacement pair of tall brown boots ever since mine had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction a few years ago...

These Studded Frye Boots are quite cute, but way too expensive. The Steve Madded Feud boots are interesting, but I'm not completely sold on the tie up the back.

J. Crew has a very nice selection of boots. I have a fairly large calf for my body size, so J. Crew is good source since they make most of their boots in both regular and with an extended calf. I think the pair on the left (Tenley High Heeled Boot) are my favorites, but the kitten heel (Rivington Boots) might be slightly more practical.

Two pairs with an even lower heel and more equestrian look are the Tenley Low Heeled boot
and the Richmond Boot.

Milan Fashion Week S08

Moschino - One of my favorite collections. Infinitely adorable
and wearable. The grey embellished dress and flirty coat outfit
is especially fabulous.

Marni - fun and sophisticated.

Burberry - The updated trench coat is amazing. The studded belt
shown on many of the outfits is sure to be a hit of the season. The
dark glasses remind me a bit of the terminator.

Gucci had a bit of everything from fun flowered dresses and bold
prints, to sequins, and leather. These fitted, cropped leather
motorcycle jackets seem to be everywhere this season.

Armani
Checks... check...
Bloomers ... check? I actually really like the skirts + bloomer style
that they have going on here though I don't think I would have
the guts to wear them out of the house.

Crystal drop earrings... While watching old
episodes of Ugly Betty the other day I noticed that
Sophia, Selma Hayek's character had on some
earrings much like these except the stone was a
bluish color.

Tulle

I came across a new brand today, Tulle, while shopping
at Gamine Whimsical Fashion (1955 Shattuck Ave) on
my lunch break. Gamine is a cute little boutique in
Berkeley and a great place to find tons of fun, affordable
clothes.

I got this adorable empire waist coat in juniper green,
for 40% off! :)

Etsy

"Etsy your place to buy and sell all things handmade" is an awesome site to pick up fun jewelry, clothes, bags, art ... and so much more. Beware the number of items is astonishing and browsing can be addictive.

A collection of flora and fauna themed items on etsy:

Octopus necklace and vintage avon owl

Bunny Pendant and Dragonfly

Pine Cone and my personal favorite the Leaf Pendant.

This Bee bag is pretty buzzzzztastic too!
