As some of you may have guessed -- at least those old
enough to remember -- this blog is named after the movie
"Desperately Seeking Susan". For some bizarre reason,
this happened to be one of the only videos our family
owned and I remember watching it over and over again.
I'm not a major madonna fan or anything (although I do
remember choreographing whole dance routines to "Like
a Virgin" as a child). I guess you just have to admire any
movie where putting on a new jacket can change your
whole life. Sometimes I think I'd like to completely
overhaul my look with a brand new wardrobe....

awesome! it was a formative influence on me, too. but i somehow turned out much less fashionable...
