SF shopping

I made a quick weekend trip to SF a few weeks ago and had a blast eating good food -- dim sum at Yank Sing and the Hong Kong Flower Lounge, Indian chaat at Vik's Distributing (omg so good!), yummy inside out burger at Spork, croissants at Masses, cheese at the Cheeseboard collective, and drinks in the "deathstar" bar at the top of the Marriott at sunset with a gorgeous view of the whole city as it faded into dark. I also got to see a lot of good friends that I've been missing since I left the Bay Area (you know who you are). And of course what trip to SF would be complete without some shopping in Union Square. I picked up a few things including this awesome blown glass bubble necklace from SFMOMA which has already been approved by my "artsy" friends, but which seems a bit like a neck stabbing accident waiting to happen. :) This panda hat was calling to me from a random street vendor and I couldn't resist. I also picked up this Chloe-esque top by Rachel Roy and an Oakland t-shirt featuring the crane inspirations for George Lucas' AT-AT walkers.

Felt me up

I've been in the market for a new backpack/laptop bag for awhile now. I think this grey felt messenger bag from carga may be the one! I especially like the rugged wool felt, rivets and other industrialesque details. The only question is how it will hold up after getting drenched a few times in the rain (and how well it will protect my laptop which basically == my life). The smell of dirty wet felt is not on my all time list of favorite smells.

LF & Jeffrey Campbell collab coming soon to LF stores.

Of course the JC Alexa (left) is a blatant rip off of those amazing
Acne atacoma wedges that have been seen on everyone and sold
out everywhere (pictured here on Alexa Chung. I mean could
they be more obvious!). And the JC Poland lace-up bootie (right)
looks eerily like the Burberry biker boot, but well I really don't
have the $$ for the real thing so blatant rip offs are probably
about as close as I'll ever get... ;)

New boots!

You may remember my ongoing obsession with motorcycle boots. I've been
pondering them for awhile now and just found these Steve Madden Buck's at
Loehmann's today for $60 (original price $160). I snagged a pair and
absolutely LOVE them!
